The Pledge Wall below shows the personal messages from vegans who have taken the Vegan Pledge.
Animals do not deserve to be tortured and slaughtered for human use.
I pledge to never support or fund the exploitation of the voiceless. Protect the innocent.
For the animals!!!
I pledge to protect the rights, interests, well-being and lives of all animals to the best of my abilities.
Lifetime vegan.
For the animals. That's why I'm vegan! All life matters.
I vow to build a truly compassionate world, guided by the suffering of animals I hear and feel so deeply, and I will be a voice for them through my vegan choices. I see you, I hear you and I feel you.
It just makes sense! Compassion for all life, the environment, health and sustainability.
Vegan for 20 years & will never go back. It's never been easier! The quote that says it best for me is "when we can live happy, healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn't we?"
I see your suffering, I hear your cries, and I will never give up fighting for your right to live free from human inflicted cruelty and suffering. This planet is your home too, and you life matters. Forever vegan for you.
Vegan for life
Because all beings deserve kindness, empathy and to live their own lives for themselves.
Vegan for the animals.
Vegan for the animals, vegan for the planet, vegan for my body. Vegan for life!
I was a very sick teen with IBS. I discovered that eating vegan was better for my health. I have been vegan for 11 years. It is one of those decisions that is a winfinity: better for your health, better for the animals and better for the environment.
All animals deserve love and compassion and liberty.
I pledge to live my life not harming animals by living a 100% vegan life.
Being vegan is crucial for me as all creatures deserve the right to autonomy and freedom, and to be safe and loved.
I promise to never consume animal products and to the best of my ability not to use products that contain or abuse animals. I promise to continue to inform and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
Being vegan is important to me to live in a better world.
Veganism is the ethical principle to minimise suffering. This presupposes the continual education of inner workings of exploitative systems, and being held accountable for the impact of choices made. I pledge to uphold these values as long as I live.
Been vegan since 2015, was vegetarian from 2010.
I am a vegan, ethically and dietary. I will remain that way and pledge to inform others in a way that is non judgemental and non confronting.
My reason for being vegan is to support voiceless beings, the environment and for my own health and well-being.
Being vegan is important to me for animal welfare and my health.
My son, (and later my daughter) became vegan for the animals. At first I prepared vegan meals for our health but now am also vegan for the animals and the planet.
For the animals and all living beings who deserve to live! For Mother Earth! For health!
I am vegan because I respect the right of every sentient animal to their own body, life and freedom.
Greg McFarlane - Director, Vegan Australia
For the souls we share this ride with.
I practice and live by the vow of ahimsa, treating all sentient beings with love and kindness. Vegan for life.
I don't see animals as food for me. I have really tasty meals that I am expanding upon that are vegan. I was raised to eat meat and chose to eat differently.
Being vegan is so important for the animals. I have no desire to eat decaying corpses. There are so many amazing, colourful plants to eat! Fruits and vegetables are so delicious and my body feels so good eating clean food. My body is a garden not a tomb.
The animals are why I'm vegan. They deserve to live their lives free the way they were meant to be.
Animals are not to be exploited. The way humans use and abuse animals is disgusting.
All beings deserve just and fair treatment.
Every life matters and I am no longer complicit in the killing, abuse and exploitation of animals.
I don't like animals being exploited in any way.
Go vegan. Stay vegan.
Till the end of my days.
Veganism is the essence of humanity.
Be compassionate.
I pledge to be vegan now and always - for the animals.
Causing the least amount of harm to animals and our planet.
Vegan for the animals for 15 years and forever.
I believe kindness and compassion is enhanced by minimising violence and harm, which is the result of eating and wearing products made from or derived from animals. Doing so is cruel and I do not wish to be a part of their suffering.
Vegan for life.
Because I don't want to hurt any animals.
Just reached my 60th birthday, and celebrating 40+ years as a Vegan4Life.
Vegan now and forever. For the animals, for the planet, for health and humanity.
Animals share with us the privilege of having a soul. If you love animals you don't eat them.
Vegan for the animals and for the planet.
Corporations who are only obligated to make profits for shareholders control all our lives. Big Food gives us highly processed poisons as food to make us sick. Big Tech hides this truth from us. Natural vegan food is the best diet for us and the planet.
I pledge to not eat meat anymore.
Vegan for the animals, vegan for life.
Eating plant based is the best thing you can do for animals and the planet!! Loving it
I wasn't always vegan; now I know the truth, I always will be, for them.
I'm vegan for the animals. I want my choices to be kind always.
Vegan for the animals.
I vow to be vegan, to honour and respect all life forms and to raise awareness for the sanctity and preciousness of all life. I believe that if our parents showed us where and how our food was made, we would have chosen to be vegan at a very young age.
For the animals!
Vegan since may 2021 and counting. Love for all animals since then
Animals and humans deserve love and compassion and the right not to be caused unnecessary suffering.
I will continue to be vegan for the rest of my life.
Been vegan pledging for 24 years now and it will continue as long as I am breathing on this earth.
I promise to uphold vegan values forever!
I love animals and can't come to eat meat because it makes me sick to think that the steak in front of me was once a live animal.
Trying to do the least harm possible, every day.
I am proud to live a vegan life with the full belief that all sentient beings have a right to live with no discrimination.
Veganism is the least I can do to protect animals from unnecessary suffering and abuse.
Chris Delforce - Founder and Executive Director, Farm Transparency Project
I pledge to treat animals how I would like to be treated - with kindness and compassion, not cruelty. That's why I am vegan.
Animal suffering isn't a joke!
Vegan Australia gives me hope! Keep shining your light of compassion and truth. I'm cheering you on.
Dr. Michael Klaper - physician, vegan health educator, conference and event speaker
I have been vegan for 10 years and will always and forever remain vegan. I refuse to support any form of animal exploitation or cruelty. My planned humanitarian animal projects will come to fruition as soon as I am funded.
In this cruel world choosing what I eat is the single most powerful action I can take that really makes a positive difference. The personal is political.
I ensure that my diet consists wholly of plant foods, with no products derived from animals.
For animal welfare, health and for the planet.
I am vegan! How exciting about the education campaign, YES!
For the animals.
I'm vegan because animals should have the right to live a safe life, free from abuse and exploitation.
To continue to encourage others to also take a stand against eating animals
I will never eat an animal product.
Choosing kindness.
Vegan for the animals. No hesitation after taking 50 years for my eyes and heart to be opened. Plant-based for my health, for our precious planet and for my grandchildren and those to come.
My choice is predominantly health based and the realisation that this lifestyle is better for humans, other species and the planet.
I pledge to live vegan to honour and protect all sentient beings, to minimise my impact on earth, and to benefit my own health and the wellbeing of others.
For the sake of others' well being and to break the karmic cycle of cruelty and violence, I commit to not cause suffering to living beings for food. (Vegetarian from 1970 and vegan from 2006 and for rest of life.)
I truly love all sentient beings, so I do my best to avoid consuming them in any form.
I've been vegan 10 years and will continue to be for the rest of my life.
#veganfuture - It's the only ethical way to live.
The kindest thing I can do for all living creatures and our planet is to live a vegan lifestyle.
The hypocrisy of living in a pet obsessed country while consuming and exporting animals condemned to death was too much for me to bare.
Being vegan is important to me because of animal welfare, personal health and environmental reasons.
Animals deserve love and respect and being vegan is such a crucial part in demonstrating this.
Being alive on this planet is an incredible gift. We should not be entitled to take that gift from any other loving being.
No animal cruelty.
For the animals, the environment and public health.
