The Pledge Wall below shows the personal messages from vegans who have taken the Vegan Pledge.
Vegan for the animals, the planet, and it's a revolutionary way to say no to rampant capitalism.
All beings deserve just and fair treatment.
Be kind to all kinds.
Being vegan is important for me because I believe that animals should be treated with respect and not used and abused as a way of making money. Animals are pure innocence and are sentient beings.
Eat plants, plant trees, live free! Vegan for life!
Why do the majority of humans find the killing and eating of some animals, principally herbivores, unremarkable and inculpable, while killing and particularly eating other animals, especially humans, is reflexively condemned as repulsive and taboo? See thecannibalguy.com
Being vegan is important to me because it is a personal action I can take to protect all animals and our beautiful planet.
For the animals, now and always.
Vegan for the animals for life.
Personal choices aren't personal if they have a victim.
I pledge to be vegan now and always - for the animals.
I am a vegan, ethically and dietary. I will remain that way and pledge to inform others in a way that is non judgemental and non confronting.
I will continue to be vegan for the rest of my life.
Meat is unnecessary.
I promise to be guided by compassion and awareness; to value the life of all beings and be an advocate for life for those who are without a voice.
For the animals.
How wonderful for the world if everyone became vegan.
I am vegan for the animals
I recently realised how much better I feel both physically and mentally after becoming vegan. It is also a cheaper way of living and there is a huge range of delicious foods available for vegans. I pledge to avoid animal products for good. 🙂
Living a vegan lifestyle and contribute to a gentler and kinder relationship between humans and other species in the planet.
All children should be educated about animals from a very young age. (From the Vegan Education in Schools program.)

I pledge to live my life with open eyes, heart and mind to the suffering of the billions of animals. I can no longer campaign as I once did due to health issues, but i will never stop being a voice for the animals.

A vegan world is definitely coming and I would love to be a part of this.
Animal cruelty is unacceptable.
Life is important to me, I don't need to live on death and misery, so why should I?

Because animals are not food.
I do not want to cause harm to sentient beings who want to live, like me.
I've been vegan 10 years and will continue to be for the rest of my life.
Being vegan is important to me because of animal welfare.
The world cannot sustain meat and animal products any longer - it's cannibalism. If people went into an abattoir and saw and smelt and heard what goes on, they would not eat meat or any other animal product for the rest of their lives.
For the animals. For the planet. For the people.
I will forever be vegan and ensure that I will live my life without harming any living creature.
Hardly a day goes by without me giving thanks for the changes becoming vegan has brought into my life.
In the past, taking a life was a sacrifice for human survival, now it is a choice made out of convenience and selfishness.
It's the way towards a compassionate future.
I love animals and you can't eat someone you love.
I will always treat every sentient being with compassion. Life is already challenging enough for us all and no one deserves to be abused.

I pledge as above, that I will always live a wholly vegan lifestyle and will do what I can to promote veganism and animal rights.
I love animals, and don't need any on my plate.
Animals experience love, joy and suffering just as my pets and I do. I do not want to contribute to the suffering of others when I can simply choose something else to eat or wear.

I love being vegan. Proud and so happy I made the decision!

I vow to be vegan, to honour and respect all life forms and to raise awareness for the sanctity and preciousness of all life. I believe that if our parents showed us where and how our food was made, we would have chosen to be vegan at a very young age.
Empowering evolution from civilised marauders to hi-tech gardeners in a thriving multicultural meritocracy. We are co-dependent on healthy ecology and can obtain nutrition from plant-based sources.

Being vegan is important to me because I care about animals!
I'm no longer a part of a horrible and disgusting part of society. One of the best changes I've ever made for myself.
It breaks my heart in two knowing there are trillions of animals worldwide living in horrific conditions, suffering from extreme cruelty and dying a miserable death just because people like the way they taste. It's cruel and unnecessary.
Do no harm
As a vegan, I strive to act thoughtfully and consciously to show loving kindness to all sentient beings.
All animals deserve love and compassion and liberty.
As doctors, we are taught the principle of "First, do no harm". In January 2024 I realised I could no longer ignore the daily moral injury of continuing to support an industry that causes great harm to living, feeling creatures. Life has never been better.
I don't like animals being exploited in any way.

Live a life unapologetically vegan, to support and guide veganism to as many people across Australia and the world!
#veganfuture - It's the only ethical way to live.
"If you are guilty of serious sins, eating vegetables will eliminate bad karma, and if you are not blessed, you will promote good karma." I have been a vegetarian for ten years and am determined to promote vegetarianism throughout my life.
