The Pledge Wall below shows the personal messages from vegans who have taken the Vegan Pledge.
I first went vegan over 11 years ago. In the face of such cruelty in factory farms I view it as a moral essential.
Animals, body, planet. Eugggh and Ick to all the veins n tendons n bloody carcass. Plus lots of animals are way sentient. If it ain't vegan it ain't food! If it has a face and soul it won't be on our plate.
Peace begins on your plate.
I love animals and I don't want to participate in exploiting and harming them. Being vegan just makes sense. I live my life doing the best I can for them.
Veganism means to me freedom and respect for all sentient beings. Except politicians. They would need to pass a test.
I pledge to follow the vegan path to the best of my ability and finances. This I do so that animals can live their lives in peace and as nature intended for them, not as we think they should live for us. I will avoid products that are animal tested.
I'll use slogans I have seen and taken on board for my personal belief. Be kind to every kind. If we can live happy, healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn't we?
Cannot stand to be the cause of suffering or taking a life that doesn't belong to me.
Vegan for the planet
Because every living being deserves a life worth living, free from cruelty and suffering.
Ending the exploitation and suffering of animals is extremely important to me.
Vegan since 2018.
For animal welfare and against suffering.
For the love of animals/planet and nurturing compassion and kindness: embracing a vegan lifestyle.
I pledge to continue choosing kindness to animals over cruelty.
Veganism is essential for the minimisation of harm to people, non human animals and the earth. It continues the momentum from various movements in recognising the basic rights of individuals regardless of differences, which should be extended to animals.
Veganism is simply about wanting a kinder and more empathetic world, where we make thoughtful choices about ourselves, animals, our children and the world we live and share with all beings.
Been vegan for 9 years now.
Modern factory farming is a source of unfathomable pain and suffering. I couldn't respect myself if I were to knowingly participate in the perpetuation of those practices, when readily available alternatives are accessible.
I became vegan many years ago because the thought of killing an animal just to eat their flesh repulsed me. The unexpected benefits have been amazing, not withstanding the most delicious meals I have ever eaten.
Being vegan is important to me because of animals.
Animals experience love, joy and suffering just as my pets and I do. I do not want to contribute to the suffering of others when I can simply choose something else to eat or wear.
Being vegan allows me to align my actions with my values.
I don't want to harm animals and let them suffer for my pleasure. I support the environment in whichever way I can. It's better for my overall health to be vegan.
Just reached my 60th birthday, and celebrating 40+ years as a Vegan4Life.
Every single day our species kills hundreds of millions of land animals and fish. I hope that in the not too distant future, our descendants will look back at animal exploitation with the same disgust we feel when we think about slavery and the holocaust.
Vegan for the love and life of animals!
Being vegan means that I get to live honouring my values and principles.
I pledge to continue being vegan always.
For the animals. For the Earth. For peace.
All animals have the right to live free from human exploitation.
I pledge to put innocent lives over greed, murder, torture and cruelty.
I love animals and they shouldn't be factory farmed, it's better for the planet and my health.
I pledge to do no harm where I can choose not to. To see animals as someone, not something. To live with empathy, to educate with kindness and to lead by example. My plate, my voice and my path will reflect love.
I pledge to all of the above. Vegan for life
For the animals. Can't stand the cruelty too.
ECO not EGO
I am vegan for many ethical and personal reasons. It is especially important to me to actively contribute to reducing suffering in the world.
"Run to the rescue with love, and peace will follow." - River Phoenix
Being vegan is important to me because all sentient beings deserve to live a life without cruelty, pain and fear.
Veganism, I believe, is the most effective way available to us to fight for animal justice and to join the struggle against global boiling which is already costing millions of human and animal lives.
I promise to be kind and inspire others to live in harmony with all beings. I will fight the good fight always!
I love being vegan!!
Vegan for the animals, Let's do this! Team Vegan all the he way.
For the animals. Because their lives are as worthy as ours. Because they are someone not something. Because I see them.
Being vegan reflects what matters most to me: kindness, awareness and responsibility, for animals, for the earth and for future generations.
Being vegan means I can live peacefully in alignment with my values.
I pledge to protect the rights, interests, well-being and lives of all animals to the best of my abilities.
All beings deserve to be free, I hope to see change in my lifetime to better our future
Veganism means the end needless animal exploitation and suffering.
Being vegan means I live my life without conflict with my intrinsic values.
I have been meat free for over 20 years and recently become vegan. I love all animals and just had to make a stand against their exploitation.
I am vegan! How exciting about the education campaign, YES!
I think that animals deserve to live their lives free of exploitation and cruelty and not be killed for human pleasure.
Being kind means to every living thing not just people and really it's not that hard!
Being vegan is important because I care about the animals and want them to be treated with kindness.
I'm vegan because I love all living things. When I got into philosophy, I found that I can't love animals and call myself morally consistent if I still ate them. It just makes sense, and I'm happier now too. There's no world where I stop, I don't want to.
I will work in small ways every day to make a difference in the lives of animals.
I will not knowingly use or consume animal products & will always treat animals with respect & justice.
For the love of all sentient beings and the future of our planet I am vegan!
Vegetarian for 10 years, now pledging to be vegan. Animals are my best friends. Way better than humans. Animals make me smile, my heart sing and a warm glow throughout my whole body and the thought of them not having the best life makes me sad.
I pledge to walk lightly on this Earth and respect all lives.
All lives are important. It is our responsibility to cause no harm, because we can.
Animals are as important and deserving of life as humans.
We all get one chance at life and I recognise that I have no right to exploit another animal (human or non-human) for my own comfort and convenience.
I love animals, and don't need any on my plate.
I care about animals and our planet. We can live healthily without harming either.
31 years vegan, no plans to stop.
Animals are here with us, not for us - we have no right to exploit them. Animals are sentient beings, not food. My only regret about becoming vegan is that I didn't do it sooner.
Kavi the human is Toby the dog, is Toby the calf, is Rougue the chicken.
I enjoyed watching my wife practicing veganism, so I decided to join her. I am definitely enjoying my food with conscious efforts towards raising my voice against animal cruelty.
There is NO need to cause harm to, exploit or kill animals.
As a lifelong vegan of 68 years, I pledge that I and my family of seven strictly follow a vegan lifestyle and will never deviate from that path. We believe we are equal to all animals and believe all are entitled to respect, consideration and autonomy.
Primarily, it's my love for the animals, who are sentient beings who deserve the same rights as human animals. Secondary is my love of Mother Nature and caring for my health.
I'm doing my best! Be as vegan as you can!
