The Pledge Wall below shows the personal messages from vegans who have taken the Vegan Pledge.
It's the very least we can do. Everyone deserves peace and to be free from abuse and exploitation.
Because animals deserve better. If we were in their position we would want anyone who has any sway or influence to help us.
Hardly a day goes by without me giving thanks for the changes becoming vegan has brought into my life.
Vegan forever for the animals!!
Vegan for the animals.
I have been an ethical vegan since Jan 2012. I apply the principles of veganism to all aspects of my life such as: food/diet, clothing, furniture, car/car tyres, household products, cleaning, healthcare, skincare, beauty + much more. For the animals.
Animal agriculture is an unsustainable practice that drains and contaminates our natural resources. Animals deserve to be treated with respect and not be mass farmed and exploited for our convenience and taste buds.
I want to do the most good I can do.
Choosing kindness.
After being vegan for 45 years, it's insane the changes to our climate due to animal agriculture. It is now more important than ever to realise that there's no right way to do a wrong thing. Live vegan and save lives.
I am a vegan, ethically and dietary. I will remain that way and pledge to inform others in a way that is non judgemental and non confronting.
For the animals, for life.
I love animals and don't want to harm them or contribute to their exploitation. Also the environmental benefits are important to me. Being vegan aligns with my values.
Being vegan is important to me for all animals to be safe and to not contribute to pain and suffering of any sentient being.
Being vegan is important to me because it protects the animals of course!
I am vegan thru and thru, I pledge to continue this beautiful loving way of life and will continue to do so in my lifetime here on earth.
Every single day our species kills hundreds of millions of land animals and fish. I hope that in the not too distant future, our descendants will look back at animal exploitation with the same disgust we feel when we think about slavery and the holocaust.
I will continue to be vegan for the rest of my life.
Animals experience love, joy and suffering just as my pets and I do. I do not want to contribute to the suffering of others when I can simply choose something else to eat or wear.
I'm vegan because I love all living things. When I got into philosophy, I found that I can't love animals and call myself morally consistent if I still ate them. It just makes sense, and I'm happier now too. There's no world where I stop, I don't want to.
I originally went vegan because meat & dairy products made me feel sick. Since then I follow the vegan pledge completely.
I pledge that my actions and the way I live my life will never knowingly harm any animal and to always stand up for animal rights.
Vegan for the animals. We need to be a voice for animals as they are powerless to the system
As doctors, we are taught the principle of "First, do no harm". In January 2024 I realised I could no longer ignore the daily moral injury of continuing to support an industry that causes great harm to living, feeling creatures. Life has never been better.
I have no right to anyone else's body, except for my own. My body, my choice. Their body, their choice.
I have been vegan for nearly 9 years and I pledge to remain vegan, to respect the sentience of other species on our planet, to live my life with kindness.
Animal abuse is wrong, so wrong, animals' lives matter, exploiting animals for taste, clothing or profit is immoral. l am a proud vegan and will continue to stand up for innocent animals always!
The best decision I have ever made. I only wish I made it sooner.
We do it for the animals. All of us. The exploitation of animals for food, adornment, entertainment and research is OVER. Together we will do this. It is so hard living everyday knowing their pain.
Always choose kindness
I don't want to hurt animals
My husband and I have been vegan for 8+ years. We do it as we are animal lovers and for our health.
We operate a vegan food truck called Classica The Great Foodini and we make 100% sure that no products derived from animals are used to make our products.
Animals are here with us not for us!
I can live a happy, healthy life without harming others, so why wouldn't I?
For the animals first, environment second, and of course, my own health, which, at 75 years of age - I'm thriving!
Every living organism feels pain. I can't support suffering of any kind. I aim to reduce net suffering on Earth. I am a proudly vegan antinatalist.
All for the beautiful animals on this planet.
I will always be vegan ,so the animals wont be hurt.
I care about all animals and will be vegan for the rest of my life (7 years so far, vegetarian for 33 years before that).
Because I believe we need to care about all animals and our planet.
Humanity is defined by a world without cruelty!
I have been vegan for 10 years, and I will be vegan for life!! Vegan Australia is doing amazing work to promote veganism nation wide.
If we could live our lives happily and healthily without harming others... Why wouldn't we?
Being vegan is important for the world.
All life is equal.
Veganism means to me freedom and respect for all sentient beings. Except politicians. They would need to pass a test.
All animals have the right to live free from human exploitation.
Your future is in your hands.
Animals exist for their own reasons, just as we do. There's no justification for killing them for food or clothing.
I pledge to do no harm where I can choose not to. To see animals as someone, not something. To live with empathy, to educate with kindness and to lead by example. My plate, my voice and my path will reflect love.
Humans are no more important than any other animal. All animals (from the extremely minute to the extremely large, and all in between) are beautiful sentient beings who deserve our love and respect. Vegetarian most of my life. Now vegan for 12 years.
Being vegan is important to me because animals experience pain and trauma much as we do.
Vegan for life!
Live and let live. Simple.
I am, and always will be, vegan for the animals. This world is their world just as much as it is for humans. Equal rights for animals. The right to be respected not exploited.
I do my best not to harm another sentient being and try my best to protect and care for them.
I pledge to follow the Sanskrit "Ahimsa" for the rest of my life. Vegan forever.
I love all animals.
Enslaving animals, upsetting the eco balance, deforestation, poluting water with leftover materials in slaughter houses, reducing the nutrient and taste in plant based diets, destroying the atmosphere with opening new coal mines that pollute our air...
For the animals.
Because I love all animals equally, always have, always will. Vegan for life.
I'm against cruelty, harm and slaughter. I care about our planet and know how massively the meat and dairy industries are hurting it. I want to be a voice for the voiceless. It's evil to eat or exploit animals. Also tofu slaps.
Kindness shouldn't kill, and it's great for human health and longevity. Plant based lifestyle enhances all your senses and sense of self.
Vegan FTA for life. Vegan Australia is a great goal and a great organisation
I am vegan for the animals. We are all earthlings travelling on a speck of dust in the middle of incomprehensible emptiness, united in our capacity to suffer. May we all be united in the nonhuman capacity for humility, forgiveness and love.
Because not being vegan isn't an option.
Vegan for life!
Been for 4 years - no good reason to stop 🙂
For the animals ALWAYS!
Kavi the human is Toby the dog, is Toby the calf, is Rougue the chicken.
Have been plant based for so many years and now want to take my pledge to not take another being's life.
To me, veganism means living in alignment.
Being vegan is important to me because non-human animals are here to live a life for themselves, they aren't here for us. A life free from oppression, harm, violence and exploitation. Because when we allow the oppression of one, we welcome the oppression of all.
It's the way towards a compassionate future.
Animals were not put on this planet to be exploited or consumed. They each have an important role in the fabric of our ecosystem and the right to live a full, safe and uninterrupted life.
Animals are friends not food!
I pledge to continue my vegan lifestyle for as long as I live.
Because I don't want to hurt any animals.
Vegan for the animals (both human and non-human), with whom we share this planet and for the magnificent, miracle called Earth, that we all get to call home.
"When we can live happy, healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn't we?"
I love animals and would like to live in a world that doesn't harm or exploit them.
I care deeply about the welfare of animals as sentient beings and view their harm and exploitation in the same way I would towards humans. Animals have a right to a peaceful existence in the same way we expect for people.
Empowering evolution from civilised marauders to hi-tech gardeners in a thriving multicultural meritocracy. We are co-dependent on healthy ecology and can obtain nutrition from plant-based sources.
I am 15 years of being vegan. Going vegan has dramatically improved my body. I will keep on introducing vegan diet to all my loved ones. They shall all be on this goodies of life.
I will not knowingly use or consume animal products & will always treat animals with respect & justice.
Being vegan is important to me because animals matter.
The thought of eating or wearing any part of an animal is just abhorrent. All animals' lives are precious. The way animals in the food chain are treated so cruelly makes me determined to be vegan.
I am fully committed to this initiative. I have been vegan for the past 5 years and will be for the rest of my life. Animals must have the right to live on our planet freely and peacefully.
I practice and live by the vow of ahimsa, treating all sentient beings with love and kindness. Vegan for life.
Animals are beautiful and sentient beings. They do not deserve to be exploited. I want a more fair world where animals are able to live and raise their babies just like us.
I promise to love all animals equally, and do my best to never exploit any animal.
I'm Vegan 100% for the animals. I choose compassion and respect for all living beings.
Because all sentient beings want to live, and they are sacred.
Every time I consider choosing hedonism or greater ease at the expense of another living being's freedom and agency to live their own beautiful life, when I am a human with so much privilege to choose another way, the trade-off feels impossibly unjust.
Heart and soul for animals!
