The Pledge Wall below shows the personal messages from vegans who have taken the Vegan Pledge.
I have finally awoken and my only regret is that it took so long.
We don't need to eat animals. We can survive without it.
Since becoming vegan I finally feel like the best version of myself by honouring, respecting and protecting animals as individual, sentient beings with the same rights, feelings and fears as us humans when it comes to living a life free from harm.
Vegan for the animals for 15 years and forever.
Been vegan a real long time. The idea of eating animals is repugnant. My diet is healthy and environmentally responsible.
Because animals are sentient, thinking, feeling individuals who deserve bodily autonomy. I do not have the right to exploit them. I believe humans are moral agents and should reject the idea that animals exist for humans to use.
If you know better, you do better! Educate, take action and be part of a movement that one day ends speciesism!
I've been a practicing vegan for more than 30 years, through diet and attempting to avoid consumerism of products where animals have been harmed. I am very happy that this will be taught in schools.
Veganism is the next logical step of moral evolution. I want to be on the right side of history.
Vegan since May 2024.
Why do the majority of humans find the killing and eating of some animals, principally herbivores, unremarkable and inculpable, while killing and particularly eating other animals, especially humans, is reflexively condemned as repulsive and taboo? See thecannibalguy.com
Animals are here with us not for us!
Been vegan since 20/06/2016. Went vegetarian for 6months for ethical reasons, when an aunty scoffed "you won't last a year being vegetarian" so I one upped her and became vegan. To this day I'm proud to have strong morals. Voice for the voiceless.
Meat is Murder
I'll use slogans I have seen and taken on board for my personal belief. Be kind to every kind. If we can live happy, healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn't we?
To live in the kindest and most compassionate way possible.
I wish kindness to all animals and will do everything I can to avoid any harm to animals from my actions.
I believe that all animals have a right to exist free from exploitation from humans.
For our voiceless animals, our environment, spirituality and health.
I stand with all sentient beings. Being vegan is the least I can do to combat animal cruelty. Let's speak up for the voiceless.
As a vegan with aligned beliefs and faith I promise to do my best to promote and advocate human health and well-being, put a stop to animal cruelty and stand for biodiversity and environmental protection.
Vegan for peace, justice and liberation. Vegan for life in solidarity with all other animals.
I pledge to make the transition to a purely plant-based diet & vegan way of life. I do this to honour the animals who have given me unconditional love, joy & a purpose for living. Animals are my 'raison d'etre'. I promise to serve and protect them always.
I will do my utmost to never use animal products, promote a happy, healthy vegan lifestyle to others, sign petitions, make submissions and treat all animals with the respect they deserve.
Being vegan is important to me because of the animals, my health, the planet, global food security and ethics.
For the animals. Always.
For the animals and all living beings who deserve to live! For Mother Earth! For health!
I want to inspire people about how they can be vegan and build their body.
Animals, body, planet. Eugggh and Ick to all the veins n tendons n bloody carcass. Plus lots of animals are way sentient. If it ain't vegan it ain't food! If it has a face and soul it won't be on our plate.
Vegan since 2005. For the animals, for the planet, and for my health.
Animals are as important and deserving of life as humans.
We are all animals, we all suffer the same and want peace the same!
I'm vegan for life
With a little effort we can learn to live healthy, respectful lives in harmony with the rest of the beautiful creation that we share on this planet. I am moving forward in achieving this harmony.
Vegan, so that my children, and their children can live in a kind future, free from harming animals, humanity, and the planet. A better world is around the corner, and we will be a part of this.
Species equality is very important to me.
Causing the least amount of harm to animals and our planet.
I do not want to cause harm to sentient beings who want to live, like me.
My reason for choosing vegan is firstly to show compassion to all animals, conserve our natural environment & support my health & wellbeing.
I pledge to put innocent lives over greed, murder, torture and cruelty.
Once the blinkers have been removed, how could we not be? Taking or exploiting the life of a complex, sentient being for 15 minutes of eating pleasure is just insane. 21 years, and not missing a thing!
I'm vegan as I believe animals are here with us not for us.
I promise to continue my journey of loving, caring, and fighting for animals and their rights until the end of my days.
No animal products will be consumed.
Animals exist for their own reasons, not to be tortured and eaten by humans. I've been vegan 36 years this month.
I am 15 years of being vegan. Going vegan has dramatically improved my body. I will keep on introducing vegan diet to all my loved ones. They shall all be on this goodies of life.
The most important thing I've ever done. All life is equal.
Enslaving animals, upsetting the eco balance, deforestation, poluting water with leftover materials in slaughter houses, reducing the nutrient and taste in plant based diets, destroying the atmosphere with opening new coal mines that pollute our air...
For animal welfare, health and for the planet.
To put it simply, it's about caring for every creature on earth by understanding their place in this world as we would care for a loved one. It's about practicing what's right.
If we could live our lives happily and healthily without harming others... Why wouldn't we?
Going vegan for me is helping my physical and mental health.
I will never eat an animal product.
I have been vegan for nearly 8 years, do animal justice activism and help promote the vegan mindset. I pledge to commit to veganism and animal justice for the rest of my life and wish I'd been vegan since birth.
I've been vegan for around 35 years now.
I recently realised how much better I feel both physically and mentally after becoming vegan. It is also a cheaper way of living and there is a huge range of delicious foods available for vegans. I pledge to avoid animal products for good. 🙂
For the animals.
Animals are friends not food!
Vegan for the animals, for the future of the planet, and my health.
I can't be complicit with the animal cruelty and suffering and environmental devastation caused by animal agriculture. Vegan for life.
I'm vegan
Veing vegan is important to me because of animal welfare and my health.
I am vegan as bro.
Vegan since 2018.
I am vegan for the animals. We are all earthlings travelling on a speck of dust in the middle of incomprehensible emptiness, united in our capacity to suffer. May we all be united in the nonhuman capacity for humility, forgiveness and love.
I love animals and therefore would not do them harm. All animals deserve to be loved, to love and live a life that is happy, healthy and free .
I pledge to follow the vegan path to the best of my ability and finances. This I do so that animals can live their lives in peace and as nature intended for them, not as we think they should live for us. I will avoid products that are animal tested.
Go vegan. Stay vegan.
To prevent animal cruelty and for the planet's health.
As an almost lifelong vegan, along with my kids and grandkids I will continue this legacy long after I am gone.
I am proud to be vegan and i promise to do all i can to help end the exploitation of animals.
Being vegan is important for me because I believe that animals should be treated with respect and not used and abused as a way of making money. Animals are pure innocence and are sentient beings.
I have eaten a vegan diet for the past 25 years and will continue to avoid using or consuming any animal products.
For the animals. That's why I'm vegan! All life matters.
I have been a vegan for around 40 years because of my belief that animals should never be exploited in any way by humans, for any reason, ever!
I think the meat industry is a little out of control, wouldn't you agree?
Being vegan is important to me because the privilege of a world where kindness is possible is the right choice.
Vegan because it's the smart way to live.
I became vegan for a healthier life and to save animals and the environment.
For the animals and the planet - why being vegan is important to me.
I pledge to all of the above. Vegan for life
Animals do not deserve to be tortured and slaughtered for human use.
If everyone could see the immense suffering that occurs to animals when they are bred, raised, transported and slaughtered for the purposes of human consumption, I'm sure many more people would be vegan.
I love meat in my mouth but not the animal type.
Animals and humans deserve love and compassion and the right not to be caused unnecessary suffering.
Social worker - because everyone matters. Vegan - same reason.
Michelle Gravolin - CEO, Vegan NSW
Vegan for the animals.
I promise to never consume animal products and to the best of my ability not to use products that contain or abuse animals. I promise to continue to inform and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
Compassion and Freedom for all Creatures! Army of Love! Cosmic Conscious Compassionate Community!
I have been vegan for 10 years and will always and forever remain vegan. I refuse to support any form of animal exploitation or cruelty. My planned humanitarian animal projects will come to fruition as soon as I am funded.
For the animals, people and planet.
12 years vegan. Happier, healthier and my life doesn't cause harm
I love animals and don't want to harm them or contribute to their exploitation. Also the environmental benefits are important to me. Being vegan aligns with my values.
I pledge to honor and respect all living beings by choosing compassion over cruelty. I commit to living a lifestyle that minimizes harm to animals, the environment and myself. I embrace veganism as a practice of empathy, sustainability & justice.
I can support vegan Australia because we are uniting together, to bring peace and ease to all creatures on earth.
