The Pledge Wall below shows the personal messages from vegans who have taken the Vegan Pledge.
Vegan for the planet, health and the animals.
We are all vegan in our hearts anyway!
Being vegan is important to me because animals are friends, not food.
I'm vegan
The future is vegan.
My husband and I have been vegan for 8+ years. We do it as we are animal lovers and for our health.
Veganism is the least I can do to protect animals from unnecessary suffering and abuse.
Chris Delforce - Founder and Executive Director, Farm Transparency Project
I've been vegan 10 years and will continue to be for the rest of my life.
I AM VEGAN!
I'm vegan for the animals.
Because I don't want to hurt anyone.
Choosing a vegan lifestyle is a promise to honour the planet, respect all living beings, and foster a healthier future for ourselves and generations to come.
Knowing that my choices are going towards helping save innocent animals from dying.
To me, veganism means self health (body and mind) and compassion for animals and our beautiful ecosystem.
I pledge to walk lightly on this Earth and respect all lives.
I'm vegan because animals should have the right to live a safe life, free from abuse and exploitation.
None are free until all are free. Vegan for a kinder, gentler world. VFTA. DXE.
Being alive on this planet is an incredible gift. We should not be entitled to take that gift from any other loving being.
We need to leave animals alone and recognise a plant-based diet is healthier for humans and our environment. Animal exploitation is unnecessary and unacceptable!
For the animals, the environment and public health.
I love animals and will not be part of their suffering.
Living with purpose is important to me because I know that that's the right thing to do by the animals, and not wanting to just be a good sheeple and do what I'm told!
As a vegan, I will always fight and advocate for the rights of all beings.
I love animals.
I pledge to put innocent lives over greed, murder, torture and cruelty.
I don't need to harm others to fuel myself.
It is time we recognise all animals as sentient beings and treat them accordingly.
Vegan, so that my children, and their children can live in a kind future, free from harming animals, humanity, and the planet. A better world is around the corner, and we will be a part of this.
Vegan since may 2021 and counting. Love for all animals since then
Animals are here with us, not for us - we have no right to exploit them. Animals are sentient beings, not food. My only regret about becoming vegan is that I didn't do it sooner.
I can support vegan Australia because we are uniting together, to bring peace and ease to all creatures on earth.
I am a new vegan but it has been a long time coming and is the culmination of some eye opening experiences that showed me the way I consumed was not in line with my morals. Never again will I participate in the suffering, abuse and killing of animals.
This Christmas I'm minimising harm and setting a good example for others by sharing delicious, nutritious vegan food!
Defenceless baby animals aren't food. The primary cause of death of humans is saturated fat and cholesterol. Which means dead animals. Surely humans can figure out that animals aren't food. We are killing them and they are killing us back. Stop it! Be vegan.
I will never eat an animal product.
It was 17 years ago that I made a lifelong pledge to be vegan. Veganism was the logical choice for me as someone who opposes all forms of oppression. It made no sense to neglect animals in my consideration that no one should ever be harmed or exploited.
Michael McNally - President, Vegan NSW
I'm vegan for a kinder world for all.
Pam Ahern - Founder and Director, Edgar's Mission
Being vegan allows me to align my actions with my values.
Our earth needs more vegans.
For the animals and our planet.
I do not wish to contribute to the harm or exploitation of animals or the destruction of the planet, to the best of my abilities.
Being vegan is important to me because I want to end animal exploitation.
Animals are my friends, not my food. Every creature deserves to live their life with freedom.
Being vegan is crucial for me as all creatures deserve the right to autonomy and freedom, and to be safe and loved.
Vegan for life, vegan forever.
I pledge I shall continue to remain vegan, until my dying breath.
I am responsible for my own actions and I pledge to let compassion, kindness and empathy guide my actions.
Being vegan is important to me because animals experience pain and trauma much as we do.
I think the meat industry is a little out of control, wouldn't you agree?
I can't be complicit with the animal cruelty and suffering and environmental devastation caused by animal agriculture. Vegan for life.
I am vegan for the animals. We are all earthlings travelling on a speck of dust in the middle of incomprehensible emptiness, united in our capacity to suffer. May we all be united in the nonhuman capacity for humility, forgiveness and love.
Vegan for 30 years thanks to Dr Neal Barnard lecturing in Sydney and vegetarian for 8 years before. This helps save animals from abuse, helps the planet to retain a liveable climate and potentially maximises human health - so it's win-win-win!
I am vegan for the animals
We do vegan!
Veganism means living with compassion and choosing kindness for all animals.
May all beings be happy, healthy and and free. Give love. Receive love. Be love. I pledge that I will not contribute to the harming of animals for my own consumption or use.
Leading with vegan compassion in a world full of violence is the bare minimum I can do for other sentient beings.
Because I will not be a party to the brutal treatment and killing of billions of sentient beings with her we share the planet.
I want to live in a world where animals are seen as sentient beings and protected from harm.
You cannot love animals and eat them too. I want the same rights for them as us, people who feel pain shouldn't be treated the way we treat animals.
Cannot stand to be the cause of suffering or taking a life that doesn't belong to me.
I'm vegan for the animals, let's create a world where all living beings are treated with kindness and respect!
Vegan for 20 years & will never go back. It's never been easier! The quote that says it best for me is "when we can live happy, healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn't we?"
Being vegan is important to me because of the animals.
Its better for the planet, our animals and our bodies. We need a better future for ourselves and the next generation.
I pledge to live my life not harming animals by living a 100% vegan life.
I've been vegan for about 34 years.
I can't be a doctor who eats my own patients.
I am and will forever be vegan for the animals for the rest of my life.
Because I believe we need to care about all animals and our planet.
Corporations who are only obligated to make profits for shareholders control all our lives. Big Food gives us highly processed poisons as food to make us sick. Big Tech hides this truth from us. Natural vegan food is the best diet for us and the planet.
Vegan for the animals, the planet, and it's a revolutionary way to say no to rampant capitalism.
I pledge to protect the rights, interests, well-being and lives of all animals to the best of my abilities.
Animals are not here for us to use and abuse for human benefit. They're creatures who feel fear and pain and joy and happiness and they all deserve better!
I recently realised how much better I feel both physically and mentally after becoming vegan. It is also a cheaper way of living and there is a huge range of delicious foods available for vegans. I pledge to avoid animal products for good. 🙂
Vegan for the planet and the animals and for life.
Animals should never suffer for our vanity, consumption or entertainment and deserve to be treated with kindness, respect and equality.
Being vegan means a kinder world for animals.
I am already vegan for 44 years, but I am happy to reactivate my vegan vows always. I pledge vegan until the very end of my days. Love you and the animals. Kindly, Jen
I enjoyed watching my wife practicing veganism, so I decided to join her. I am definitely enjoying my food with conscious efforts towards raising my voice against animal cruelty.
I love animals and would like to support their lives by becoming vegan.
Being vegan is important to me because non-human animals are here to live a life for themselves, they aren't here for us. A life free from oppression, harm, violence and exploitation. Because when we allow the oppression of one, we welcome the oppression of all.
Choosing not to eat animals was such an obvious choice for me when I learned of the environmental benefits too.
I became vegan for a healthier life and to save animals and the environment.
To help save animals from cruelty and exploitation.
Being vegan is important to me for my health.
Vegan for the animals. No hesitation after taking 50 years for my eyes and heart to be opened. Plant-based for my health, for our precious planet and for my grandchildren and those to come.
Animals are living, conscious beings and have the God-given right to not live in fear and be murdered. Every living being has the right to live. I will not be guilty of their slaughter. Live, precious animals, live!
All children should be educated about animals from a very young age. (From the Vegan Education in Schools program.)
Live a life unapologetically vegan, to support and guide veganism to as many people across Australia and the world!
Vegan for the animals forever. Never again will I knowingly exploit any animal. They are here with us, not for us.
I pledge to continue choosing kindness to animals over cruelty.
I pledge to live vegan as I am choosing to live my life compassionately with consideration of all species. I will not contribute towards the suffering and exploitation of animals! I am also vegan for the environment and my health!
Vegan since May 2024.
All creatures deserve to live a happy life, without being harmed.
Being vegan is one way I can ensure that I don't contribute to any form of harm to anyone else.
