The Pledge Wall below shows the individual pledges made by vegans who have taken the Vegan Pledge.
Vegan for the animals. No hesitation after taking 50 years for my eyes and heart to be opened. Plant-based for my health, for our precious planet and for my grandchildren and those to come.
I'm vegan as I believe animals are here with us not for us.
Compassion, not exploitation, for all sentient beings creates an holistic lifestyle for a kinder world. Pledged to keep "spreading the word".
Go vegan. Stay vegan.
Choosing a vegan lifestyle is a promise to honour the planet, respect all living beings, and foster a healthier future for ourselves and generations to come.
Choosing not to eat animals was such an obvious choice for me when I learned of the environmental benefits too.
Vegan for animals and for our mother earth 365 days, everyday. When you know the truth about animal cruelty, there is no way you will reverse your diet back to eating animal products. Being compassionate and kind!
I'm vegan for life
Vegan for the animals, for life.
For all animals to be free, loved, respected and valued for their individual characters and positivity they bring into our lives.
I recently realised how much better I feel both physically and mentally after becoming vegan. It is also a cheaper way of living and there is a huge range of delicious foods available for vegans. I pledge to avoid animal products for good. 🙂
Vegan = love, respect and value all life.
I am a vegan, ethically and dietary. I will remain that way and pledge to inform others in a way that is non judgemental and non confronting.
I pledge to think of the other sentient beings on earth as being equal in their rights to live happy long lives as the 'gods' intended.
Kavi the human is Toby the dog, is Toby the calf, is Rougue the chicken.
My reason for choosing vegan is firstly to show compassion to all animals, conserve our natural environment & support my health & wellbeing.
I AM VEGAN!
The future is vegan.
I pledge to treat animals how I would like to be treated - with kindness and compassion, not cruelty. That's why I am vegan.
This Christmas I'm minimising harm and setting a good example for others by sharing delicious, nutritious vegan food!
If we don't learn to respect the animals and plants we share this planet with, we will never learn to respect each other.
I will do my utmost to never use animal products, promote a happy, healthy vegan lifestyle to others, sign petitions, make submissions and treat all animals with the respect they deserve.
I pledge to continue choosing kindness to animals over cruelty.
Being kind means to every living thing not just people and really it's not that hard!
Be kind to all kinds.
I believe that all animals have a right to exist free from exploitation from humans.
We do it for the animals. All of us. The exploitation of animals for food, adornment, entertainment and research is OVER. Together we will do this. It is so hard living everyday knowing their pain.
I have been vegan for 17 years and will be until I die.
I vow to contribute in any small way I can to make the world a kinder, more compassionate place for those innocent beings who cannot speak out for themselves.
Vegan for the animals, for the future of the planet, and my health.
As a vegan with aligned beliefs and faith I promise to do my best to promote and advocate human health and well-being, put a stop to animal cruelty and stand for biodiversity and environmental protection.
Vegan forever. I will not be responsible for harm to animals. Ever.
Vegan = life
I will remain vegan for the animals we share this planet with. It's time for humanity to progress. We no longer need to cause suffering in order for us to survive.
Just reached my 60th birthday, and celebrating 40+ years as a Vegan4Life.
Vegan for the animals, the planet, and it's a revolutionary way to say no to rampant capitalism.
I am and will forever be vegan for the animals for the rest of my life.
Genuine vegan since 2008, it should have been sooner.
We are all animals, we all suffer the same and want peace the same!
I pledge to live my life with open eyes, heart and mind to the suffering of the billions of animals. I can no longer campaign as I once did due to health issues, but i will never stop being a voice for the animals.
For the love of all sentient beings and the future of our planet I am vegan!
Vegan for the planet, health and the animals.
For the animals, for the environment, for health and for compassion, integrity & kindness to others. We change the world one person at a time.
Do no harm
I'm proudly vegan & will help any way I can to end animal suffering.
Social worker - because everyone matters.
Vegan - same reason.
Michelle Gravolin - CEO, Vegan NSW
Vegan for the animals.
Live a life unapologetically vegan, to support and guide veganism to as many people across Australia and the world!
I will forever live kind and compassionately. I will never contribute to companies or practices that inflict cruelty, or that exploit the animals/sea creatures or insects of the world.
For all the animals, I am vegan and proud, absolutely the best thing I have ever done! I have hope in my heart, the future is vegan.
I ensure that my diet consists wholly of plant foods, with no products derived from animals.
I will never harm an animal or eat or wear animal products! I will do what I can to help those animals in need.
The hypocrisy of living in a pet obsessed country while consuming and exporting animals condemned to death was too much for me to bare.
I've been vegan for 10 years and proudly continue this path. I'm joining the Vegan Pledge to stand with others who choose compassion and a kinder world for all beings.
I love meat in my mouth but not the animal type.
I am a vegan for life
These animals trust us with their hearts, we shouldn't take their lives.
Vegan for the animals and the environment, forever!
For the animals, now and always.
Till the end of my days.
Animals are here with us, not for us.
Vegan for 20 years & will never go back. It's never been easier! The quote that says it best for me is "when we can live happy, healthy lives without harming others, why wouldn't we?"
I'm vegan because I believe that our actions have the power to shape a world without animal suffering and exploitation.
Harley McDonald-Eckersall - Strategy and Campaigns Director, Farm Transparency Project
My reason for being vegan is to support voiceless beings, the environment and for my own health and well-being.
I pledge to be vegan for life and do all I can to advocate for veganism and support others to go vegan and stay vegan for life too!
For the animals. Always.
I adhere to the principle that our fellow animals have the right to be treated with respect and justice and should not be commodified or treated as property. I ensure that my diet consists wholly of plant foods, with no products derived from animals.
I'm vegan
I became vegan first and foremost for the animals, which has lead me to a career in nutrition to support others who wish to live a kinder lifestyle.
I fight for the innocent animals because they don't have a voice to be heard.
Very important decision. Ethically intrinsic. Gregarious to all living beings. Animals deserve complete freedom. No other choice but plants.
I pledge to not eat meat anymore.
I've been fighting since I was eight for the animals. They deserve their own lives.
Vegan? For life! For all creatures great and small!
For the animals. For the planet. For the people.
Vegan for the animals.
Have enjoyed being a life-long vegan. This not only benefits the animals, but also results, at age 92, in my still enjoying runs such as the 14km Sydney City2Surf.
I promise to live alongside humans and animals in a kind and caring way.
Why do the majority of humans find the killing and eating of some animals, principally herbivores, unremarkable and inculpable, while killing and particularly eating other animals, especially humans, is reflexively condemned as repulsive and taboo? See thecannibalguy.com
I pledge to never again use or consume animal products. And to consider animals and the planet in all my future choices.
I don't much care to be vegan, I wish being vegan came to be the "norm" rather than a sub culture. There's something amiss in the Human Animal World, when us who want to live a life without purposely inflicting terror should be the "Odd", the radicals.
If everyone could see the immense suffering that occurs to animals when they are bred, raised, transported and slaughtered for the purposes of human consumption, I'm sure many more people would be vegan.
As a lifelong vegan of 68 years, I pledge that I and my family of seven strictly follow a vegan lifestyle and will never deviate from that path. We believe we are equal to all animals and believe all are entitled to respect, consideration and autonomy.
I have loved animals with a passion all my life. I will continue to do so and as well as being a vegan myself, will always advocate for animal welfare and veganism.
Be that vegan yogi and holistic counsellor for all sentient beings and Mother Earth in this life journey of a precious human birth.
I will always put the lives of others above my tastebuds and clothing preferences.
I promise to continue not eating animals nor consuming dairy and eggs, nor wearing leather, nor exploiting animals in any way.
For the animals and our planet (our home), vegan forever.
I pledge to be vegan for the rest of my life. I wish to use my knowledge and philosophy to educate others on this way of living. Plus all the other points obtained in the pledge. Warm Regards, Tracy
Vegetarian for 10 years, now pledging to be vegan. Animals are my best friends. Way better than humans. Animals make me smile, my heart sing and a warm glow throughout my whole body and the thought of them not having the best life makes me sad.
I pledge to live my life ensuring that I will not take the lives of any living animals. I will do all I can to protect our planet and everything living on it.
I'm an advocate for health, lover of animals, and author of vegan rural romance. Vegan for life!
I grew up in rural areas and as a child I couldn't understand why humans ate animals. As an adult I pledge to contribute to a world of kindness, do no harm, without cruelty.
All children should be educated about animals from a very young age. (From the Vegan Education in Schools campaign.)
Love animals ..Don't eat them animals r better than some humans
26 years vegan and counting and it's still the best decision I ever made.
