Respecting aquatic animals

The Respecting aquatic animals series of lessons challenges students to rethink how humans view and treat aquatic animals. From exposing speciesist language like 'seafood' to examining the suffering caused by fishing, bycatch and farming, each lesson highlights that fishes, crustaceans, molluscs and other aquatic beings are sentient individuals with lives of their own. The series also explores alternatives to exploitation and imagines a future where humans respect aquatic animals as fellow inhabitants of the earth.
