Today is World Water Day.
World Water Day is held on 22 March every year to raise awareness about the importance of fresh water.
Worldwide, over one billion people don't have access to clean water and in Australia, the driest continent on Earth, irregular rainfalls often lead to prolonged drought, severely affecting agriculture.
Animal agriculture is one of the main users and polluters of fresh water and puts a huge strain on our water resources and compromises our water security.
Growing animals for food is an extremely inefficient use of our precious water, with animal products requiring many times more fresh water to produce compared to the same weight of plant products.
So, this World Water Day let everyone know that one of the best ways to save water is by going vegan.
