Dominion animal rights documentary screenings start this month

7 Mar 2018

The highly-anticipated animal rights documentary Dominion is launching at the end of this month.

Written and directed by Chris Delforce of Aussie Farms, the film is a feature-length documentary focussing on how animals are used and exploited in Australia. It looks at six ways humans exploit animals, including the food, research, clothing and entertainment sectors.

Dominion is the sequel to 2014's Lucent, which exposed the horrors of the Australian pig farming industry. Chris said recently in an interview, "There is a lot in Dominion that is either an Australian first or a world first. There is a lot of unreleased footage. There's some footage that we've just very recently obtained. I won't say what it is, but it's just another one of those things that make you think, my god, what are we doing? How can we do this? ... Everything in Lucent that was difficult to watch, we've got better footage of it, more horrific footage of it, like the gas chambers for example."

Dominion premieres in Melbourne on 29 March 2018 and then tours Australia for the next month (view upcoming screenings).

To promote the film's premiere screenings, the Dominion Animal Rights March is being held in Melbourne on Saturday 28 April 2018. The march will take the groundbreaking film and its crucial message of animal rights to the general public. The march will launch six months of coordinated actions aimed at systematically tearing down the walls that, until now, have hidden the greatest injustice in human history.

This film promises to be an important tool in the struggle to end the exploitation of animals. Please share with others.
