The Vegan Pledge is for all vegans, whether you've been vegan for a few days or your whole life.
We are asking every vegan in Australia to join the many others who have publicly confirmed that they follow the principles of veganism. Please take the time to take the pledge and be counted! Show that you are part of a growing vegan social movement striving for a more just world. You will strengthen Vegan Australia's ability to advance the vegan movement and its mission. This has a very important practical use: when we publicly advocate for veganism in our systemic and political work, we will be able to confidently say that we represent a large community of like-minded vegans. Together, we can truly make a difference.
When you take the pledge, you will also have the opportunity to share why being vegan is important to you by writing your own message to others. This, along with your first name and state, will then be shared publicly to our Pledge Wall as a way for us to be counted and for others to see what drives us to be vegan. You can read the powerful statements other vegans have made here on our Pledge Wall.
This is not a pledge for money. We are asking all vegans in Australia to come together to be counted. As a collective, we can do great things. If you are not yet vegan, learn more here.
Vegan for animals, the planet and my health.
Do no harm
Vegetarian for 10 years, now pledging to be vegan. Animals are my best friends. Way better than humans. Animals make me smile, my heart sing and a warm glow throughout my whole body and the thought of them not having the best life makes me sad.
Being vegan is important to me because all sentient beings deserve to live a life without cruelty, pain and fear.
Veganism means a kinder world where every living being has the right to live free from harm, exploitation, and suffering.
Why is being vegan important to me? Simply, they feel and I feel everything the same. They and I feel fear, kindness, terror and physical and psychological PAIN. They are born and bred as an excuse for food. Huge lies! We humans live guilt free and more healthier being vegan.
For animal welfare, health and for the planet.
Veganism means respecting animals and letting them have the peace and freedom they deserve at the absolute bare minimum. Veganism means to truly love animals by not using them for food, clothing, entertainment or any form of exploitation.
The animals are why I'm vegan. They deserve to live their lives free the way they were meant to be.
