Celebrate the growth of the vegan movement in Australia at the inaugural World Vegan Day Lunch in the Great Hall venue of Parliament House in Canberra on Saturday 4 November 2017.
Organised by the vegan community of Australia and supported by Vegan Australia, this very special event features a world class 4 course menu featuring indigenous and gourmet plant produce with a fine vegan sparkling wine. The event is both a celebration and a way to raise the profile of veganism in Australia.
Listen to thought provoking vegan speakers including Joey Carbstrong, Dr Anthony Hadj, Melissa Vanderhorst and Greg McFarlane. The MC for the occasion is Ron Prasad.
Tickets are limited and likely to sell out. Please book now at http://www.trybooking.com/RMFY. And if you are on Facebook, please share and invite your friends.
The menu, featuring indigenous plants, includes:
All dishes are gluten free except for the wholemeal damper and flaxseed crackers. Gluten free crackers will also be served.
To toast the celebration there will be a fine vegan sparkling Pinot Rose from Goodwill Wine.
There will also be information displays from the newly created Vegan Kids Magazine and Cruelty Free Super, raffle prizes, and inspiring videos from animal sanctuary charities from around Australia.
To emphasise the plant based theme, each table of 10 is named after a delicious fruit or vegetable. Please book your seats now.
This is the first time such an important vegan event has been held in Parliament House and is set to become a major event on the vegan calendar. Not so long ago it would have been hard to imagine something like this happening. Please join, share and enjoy!
