Vegan Australia website requirements
To further its aim of vegan education, Vegan Australia should create
and maintain a quality website which promotes veganism to the general
public and provides useful support for new and existing vegans and
vegan groups around Australia.
The website should serve these goals:
- to act as a great "promotion" for veganism to the general public.
This section would be the most visible part and be well designed
to attract people to learn more about veganism.
- to be a showpiece for the campaigning and advocacy work we do.
Many examples of campaigns can be found in
Vegan
Australia Campaigns.
- to serve the existing vegan community. This could include a
vegan business directory, vegan products for sale, comprehensive
events listings and an email service so people can sign up for
newsletters and event notifications in their area. The website
would promote only vegan products and services.
The first section would promote veganism to the general public and
cover the animal rights, health, environment and social justice aspects of
veganism. This section would allow Vegan Australia to have
advertising, such as posters, billboards and online, to have a link
to the website, where people could get more information. So the main
part of the website would be aimed at those new to veganism. The
other parts would be available as links from the main page.
Below is a draft hierarchy of page topics for the website.
